LCR and Climate First
I have read a bit about Low Carbon Resilience and I am concerned that if all we are doing is balancing the co-benefits of environment, community and economy, then we cannot really address the climate emergency. LCR still feels like "economy-first" and we need to be "climate-first."

Hi Alan - I apologize for the delayed response and thank you for your comments, interest and commitment to learning more about LCR. LCR nests all decisions in climate action. This tool is certainly new and how we use it will evolve. As we update current data and metrics, ongoing iteration will take place as we work towards our reducing emissions at a rate of 7% a year towards a 50%reduction from 2018 GHG emissions levels, by 2030. The Climate Action Committee is working on recommendations that meaningfully inform this deliverable. It will be the combined efforts of District and citizen action to meet this goal. I look forward to continuing the conversation and looking back - to see how far we have come. ~ Christina
