FAQs
What is low carbon resilience (LCR)? How is LCR connected to action?
Low Carbon Resilience (LCR) is a type of green lens that balances the co-benefits of environmental, economic and social determinants and aligns with Sustainable Development Goals. The LCR co-benefits model offers 27 points of reference to use when making decisions. Across the District, staff apply this “LCR lens” to optimize recommendations that are made to Council. Council applies the lens (again) to ensure decisions are well informed and align as best as possible under the “low carbon resilience” framework.
